On Campus Training
The KVK organized 28 training courses to make aware the practicing farmers on recent advances in agriculture and allied science and their skill up gradation. In all,700 farmers and farm women were benefitted and out of total beneficiaries, 185 were farm women and 20.5 per cent belongs to scheduled caste/scheduled tribe.
Off Campus Trainings
The KVK organized 45 off campus trainings at farmer’s field to make aware the practicing farmers on improved crop production technologies and fruit orchard management. In all, 1350 farmers and farm women were benefitted and out of total beneficiaries, 22.5 per cent were farm women participated. Looking to the training needs and thrust areas in the Western Rajasthan, the training organized in disciplines of crop production, horticulture, animal husbandry, plant protection, soil science, etc.
Training for Extension Field Functionaries
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Phalodi also have a mandate to conduct training programmes for the grass root level field functionaries of the public and private sector and line department to upgrade their skill and knowledge with recent advances in agriculture and allied science. The KVK have good liaison and partnership with line departments and regularly organized training for field functionaries. During the period of report, KVK organized 4 training courses in the discipline of crop production, horticulture, animal husbandry and plant protection etc. In all, 120 participants were benefitted and out of these 35 were from the SC/ST category. The participants were agricultural extension officers, field supervisors, village level workers, anganwari workers etc.
