On Farm Trials
Two On Farm Trials were conducted for refinement and assessment of technology in weed management in moong and clusterbean and improved crop management cumin best solution for the farmer’s problems were suggested.

Impact Statement
Profitability and Productivity Enhancement of Demonstrating Farmers
KVK covered about 165 ha area under different crop demonstrations. The average yield recorded for the wheat was 37.5 q/ha which is 10.50% higher over the farmers practice. Wheat profitability is approximately Rs. 3000/- per hectare. The farmers are also appreciating the use of thiourea and zinc sulphate for yield enhancement in wheat.
Looking to the scarcity of water, KVK organised Mustard demonstrations in 10.00 ha on the Principles of Conservation Agriculture. The average yield recorded is 14.50 q/ha which is 15% higher than the farmers practice. The total profitability from the barley crop is Rs .4500/- per hectare.
In Rabi season, gram is an important pulse crop. KVK organised Gram demonstrations in 10.00 ha. The average yield was 13.00 q/ha which is 12% higher than the control or farmers practice. The profitability from the gram crop is about Rs. 5000/ha.
KVK organised Cumin demonstrations in 10.00 ha. by introduce wilt resistant variety GC-4. The average yield was 6.50 q/ha which is 12% higher than the control or farmers practice. The profitability from the gram crop is about Rs. 7500/ha.
KVK also demonstrated Bajara, clusterbean, Moong and Moth crop in 70 ha. The average yield for all demonstration was increase 10.15 to 20.40%. The profitability from the demo crops is Rs. 3000-8500/ha.
Beside these crop demonstrations, KVK conducted the demonstrations of vegetables, green fodder, which are appreciated by farmers as green fodder which not only enhances milk yield but also reduces inter calving period in animals.
Diversification of Agriculture
Looking to the uncertainty of monsoon, effect of global warming and uncertainty in rainfall, the farmers are shifting from the traditional cereal crops to horticulture + animal husbandry. In this context, KVK established and popularized Pomegranate and Ber production and established orchard. Secondly, hybrid vegetables like chilli and other improver variety in carrot, onion, pea and cucurbits are also introduced, out of which 20-30% vegetables cultivated through drip irrigation which gives the farmers economic stability. In concern to production of cash crop, KVK popularise improved technologies for production and demonstration Groundnut, cotton and caster crop.
