KVK Phalodi (working in Zone Ia- Arid western plains zone) was established in the year 2012. This is newly established KVK donot have all basic facilities like Building, farmer’s hostels, Farm women hostel, Orchard, Nursery, Soil Testing Lab, Plant Health Clinic. Plan for office building, farmer’s hostel, farm house, boundary wall and others have been submitted to Director, ATARI in Dec. 2015 for approval and release of Funds. The area of KVK instructional farm is 20.0 ha. at Mohar-5, 3 km away from Phalodi town. At present time KVK was running in Indra Gandhi Canal Project Building at Nagour Road Phalodi.

District Profile

Jodhpur, one of the largest district of Rajasthan state is centrally situated in Western region of the State, having geographical area of 22850 sq. Kms. It has population of 36.85 lacs as per 2011 census. The district stretches between 2600’ and 27037’ at north Latitude and between 72 55’ and 73 52’ at East Longitude. This district is situated at the height between 250-300 meters above sea level.

Jodhpur is bound by Nagaur in East, Jaisalmer in west, Bikaner in North and Barmer as well as Pali in the South. The length of the district from North to South and from East to West is 197 Km.& 208 Km. respectively.

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra celebrate and conduct awareness programme on International Yoga day (21st June), World food day (16th October), World soil day celebration (5th December) during each year. Also conduct two preseasonal training programme, SAC meeting and other awareness programme for farmers, Farm women and Rural youth during every year.
